Tourists flock to Lisbon for its sandy beaches, World Heritage sightseeing and architecture. Visitors can browse art galleries, sample local cuisine and hear the famous strains of the country's famous Fado music, while taking in the waterfront views and admiring the intricate tile work that adorns many local homes and businesses. This destination city enjoys year-round tourism due to the mild climate, so prepare by getting your reservations before you arrive, especially in the summer. Less-expensive but comfortable rooms, comparable to American motel-priced accomodations, are available throughout the city.

Prices in late 2010 ranged from a manageable $27 to $81. Fodors.com reviewed this lower-priced hotel by saying, "Don't expect luxury, just clean, bright rooms with beds that don't sag."

      The rate includes a light continental breakfast between April and October, but don't expect much more than pastry and coffee before heading out the door. The lobby consists of a waiting area with cable television, bar service and a telephone. The motel is close to the Baixa-Chiado metroline and within walking distance of many cafes and shops. Guests should note that the desk does not accept credit cards.
