Motels in Fairfield, Maine

Fairfield is a town of about 6,500, as of 2000, at the junction of two important transportation corridors in Maine: U.S. Route 201 and Interstate 95. Located in Maine's Kennebec Valley, Fairfield sits on the fringes of the larger Waterville community, with Main Street connecting the two. Both Waterville and Fairfield are bounded by water; the Kennebec river flows on one side and the Belgrade Lakes lie on the other. Fairfield itself offers few hotels but nearby Waterville has a variety of accommodations.
  1. Fireside Inn & Suites

    • Located on Fairfield's Main Street, though technically in Waterville, the Fireside Inn & Suites offers 85 double rooms equipped with standard amenities. In addition, Fireside guest rooms provide high-speed wireless Internet access, hair dryers and in-room coffeemakers. The hotel's outdoor pool is only open during warm months, but the outdoor hot top and fitness rooms are year-round facilities. The hotel accommodates tourists, with its family restaurant, and also business people, with its 2,000 square feet of meeting space. Dogs are welcome.

    Comfort Inn & Suites

    • Also located on Main Street, Waterville's Comfort Inn & Suites caters to the business person with in-room computer hookups, high-speed Internet including Wi-Fi, copy and fax facilities and desks in some of the 101 rooms. Comfort Inn serves each guest a free, full breakfast, which includes hot waffles, eggs, sausage, pancakes, french toast, home fries, tea, coffee and juice; and offers free newspapers on weekdays. It is located just off Highway 95, only 18 miles from Maine's capital, Augusta. Your dog can join you for a fee.

    Hampton Inn Waterville/Augusta

    • At the Hampton Inn, guests select rooms with two queen-size beds or one king-size, smoking or nonsmoking. All 81 rooms include a seating area with a sofa, air conditioning, high-speed Internet access and weekday newspapers. Some rooms are equipped for guests with disabilities, including roll-in showers, Braille room numbers and lowered bed, closet rod and toilet. The Hampton Inn offers business services such as complimentary printing service, express mail, fax and copying service and meeting rooms. Free breakfast is included but do not bring your pet.

    Econo Lodge

    • Waterville's Econo Lodge offers 50 budget rooms less than a mile from the town airport, the Waterville Robert LaFleur Airport. Fly-in guests take advantage of a hotel shuttle. The hotel offers free local calls and coffee, but it does not have a restaurant; guests choose among a variety of nearby eating establishments. The Econo Lodge pool is closed in the winter, but the hotel offers passes to a local health club. Dogs may stay with owners willing to pay a small nightly fee.
