Guests of the Imperial Palace can enjoy the convenience of being right on the Strip, near Caesar's Palace and the Mirage. The Imperial Palace has direct access to the Las Vegas Monorail and guests can use Harrah's free shuttle service to get to other Harrah's properties, according to the Imperial Palace website.
The Imperial Palace was built in 1972 and owned by Ralph Engelstad until Harrah's bought it in 2005. As A2Z Las Vegas states, the Imperial Palace has undergone numerous renovations and additions since it opened, expanding to 2,700 guest rooms from its original 850.
The Imperial Palace hosts a collection of over 750 automobiles, from vintage cars to special-purpose vehicles, some of which are for sale, states Las Vegas Hotels. The Imperial Palace was also the first to introduce "dealertainers," casino dealers who dress up and impersonate celebrities past and present while dealing cards.
In 2010, Imperial Palace became one of three Las Vegas casino hotels to offer pet-friendly accommodations. According to Vegas News, the "PetStay Las Vegas" program at the Imperial Palace offers pet-friendly accommodations and outdoor areas for potty breaks and walks.
