The Pickwick Cabins in southwestern Tennessee are on Pickwick Lake, a 43,100-acre body of water that borders Mississippi and Alabama, as well as the Volunteer State. The cabin resort has motorboat and pontoon boat rentals, a private beach and picnicking areas with barbecue grills. The 16 cabins are secluded from one another, and all have kitchens, living rooms and bathrooms. Some of the cabins have whirlpool tubs and lofts.

Situated in northern Alabama, the Coldwater Cabins resort is on Lake Guntersville. Fishing piers and boating ramps are within walking distance of the resort's cabins, and fish available on the lake include bass, crappie and bluegill. Fishing equipment can be purchased at Waterfront Bait & Tackle, which is less than a mile from the resort. Although it is primarily an RV resort, Deer Run in central Tennessee's Cumberland Plateau provides cabin rentals on the 25-acre Good Neighbor Lake, which has fishing piers. Pruett's Fish Camp and Cabins, situated in eastern Alabama, provides lakefront accommodations and fishing opportunities on Weiss Lake.
