The resort is also a 10-minute walk from the shores of Grand Lake. The Winding River Resort is on the Colorado River in northwestern Grand Lake, and provides private fishing piers and boat slips on the river. This resort features an equestrian center for travelers with horses, and horseback riding trails are throughout Winding River's property. Guided tours are available upon request. Other features include snowmobile and ATV rentals and an animal farm with sheep, pigs and cows. The seven cabins at this resort are secluded from one another, and they have private bathrooms, outdoor decks, kitchens and living room areas. RV and tent campsites are also available.
