With more than 2,500 square miles of dense forests, snow-capped mountains, emerald lakes and wildlife, Banff National Park offers year-round outdoor adventure in the Canadian Rockies. The small town of Banff lies just outside the park gates, and is home to dozens of boutiques, art galleries and restaurants. To support its booming tourism, the town offers an array of accommodations, including a number of rustic cabins.

The property features five unique one- and two-bedroom cabins, landscaped grounds, a gazebo and free wireless Internet. Each cabin has a fully equpped kitchenette, wood finishes and country style furnishings. Cabins sleep two to six guests, and as of 2010, the rates are $75 to $125 (Canadian dollars) a night May 1-31 and $125 to $205 a night June 1-Sept. 30 and Dec. 22-Jan. 4. All of the cabins include a free continental breakfast.

    Tunnel Mountain Resort

    • Tunnel Mountain Resort is nestled in the wilderness of Tunnel Mountain, yet it's just a short walk to shops, restaurants and entertainment---it offers the seclusion and natural wonders of the Rockies with the convenience of downtown Banff.     • The Douglas Fir Resort & Chalets is surrounded by the Rocky Mountains on 5 acres of forested land and just a short walk to downtown. As of 2010, low-season rates are $94 to $425, depending on accommodation type, regular season rates are $119 to $475 and high-season rates are $191 to $550.
