    • Nestled high in southeastern Ohio's Hocking Hills is Agape Ridge, a property containing three romantic and comfortable cabin options for visitors to the Pomeroy region. Agape Ridge is located just outside of Pomeroy in Rockbridge, Ohio and offers lodgers two romantic-themed cabins called the "Love Nest" and the "Agape Love Shack."

      Both cabins are reserved for two adults only and include hot tubs, outdoor covered sunrooms, full kitchens and baths, premium sound systems in the living rooms and secluded surroundings offering privacy and scenic views of nearby Clear Lake. Management offers complimentary bottles of champagne and gift baskets are also available for an extra charge. Small touches like Starbuck's coffee and an assortment of teas make these cabins a good choice for a romantic getaway near Pomeroy.

      Agape Ridge also offers two additional lodging options -- a Log Home and a Lake House. The Log Home accommodates four adults and have many amenities including a large kitchen, entertainment room, two bedrooms with queen beds, a wood fireplace, outdoor hot tub and grill with campfire ring. Hiking trails and access to a private lake where guests can fish is exclusive to this rental property. All linens, towels and soaps are also provided. The Lake House also accommodates four adults, has similar features to the Log Home and is beautifully outfitted in elegant wood trim and a fully-decorated interior.

    Candlelight Cabins

    • Located in nearby Reedsville, Ohio, the Candlelight Cabins offer travelers to Pomeroy another secluded and scenic experience. Cabins are beautifully decorated in natural wood and include cozy touches like gas fireplaces in the living rooms, two seater Jacuzzi tubs, fully furnished kitchens and lofts with queen beds. Cabins can accommodate up to four adults and come with linens, towels and utensils. Cabins are situated in the scenic Forked Run State Park area and offer lodgers opportunities to hike, fish and relax in the quiet beauty of nature. Guests can also enjoy canoeing or kayaking down the Ohio River which is located one mile from the cabins or playing disc golf at a course located next to the property. Smoking, pets and alcoholic beverages are not permitted on Candlelight Cabins property.

    Pomeroy Attractions

    • Visitors to the Pomeroy area can venture outside of their nearby cabin retreats to enjoy the sights and sounds of Pomeroy. This sleepy little town is big on live music. A blues and jazz festival is held every summer and live bands perform each weekend from the end of June through mid-August. Performances are free.

      The Food for Thought Community Market offers gluten-free and organic foods, coffees and teas as well as honey, jam, local creamery produced milk. Visitors will enjoy perusing the shop's selection of handcrafted jewelry, purses and pottery. Downtown Pomeroy is home to a selection of specialty shops and historic, Victorian-style buildings. Nestled along the Ohio River, these shops as well as restaurants like the Wild Horse Cafe and Court Street Grill offer visitors much to enjoy.
