      The resort is approximately 25 minutes south of Andrews, North Carolina, where guests can find restaurants and shops. Local Andrews dining options include Elsie's, which offers steak and seafood entrees, and Monte Alban, a Mexican eatery. Nantahala Lake is a 45-minute drive east of the Hawkesdene House, and offers chances for fishing and canoeing.
