Arizona Skateboard Parks

Skateboard parks are recreational facilities built for skateboarders and rollerbladers to practice and help develop their style and technique. Equipment in the park can include metal rails, concrete bowls, street scapes, obstacle courses, fiberglass full pipes, snake runs and half pipes as well as many other features. The state of Arizona is home to a number of these parks with a variety of features.
  1. Paradise Valley Skatepark

    • Paradise Valley Skate park in Phoenix is open Monday through Friday from 2:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a..m. to 7 p.m. There is no charge to use the facilities, and knee and elbow pads are not required.
      Users are required to obtain a recreation ID card from the Paradise Valley Community Center before entering the park.

    Chandler Skate Park

    • The Chandler Skate Park is open seven days a week in the summer from 7 a.m. to 10:30 pm. and in the winter from 8 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. The park is 35,000 square feet and features concrete bowls, decks, blocks and metal rails. Knee and elbow pads are not required, and admission is free. There is a children's playground adjacent to the park.

    Sedona Skate Park

    • The Sedona Skate Park is equipped with areas for advanced skaters as well as beginners and also features bleachers for spectators. Admission is free, and the park is open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to sundown. The park is closed during inclement weather. Elbow pads, knee pads and helmets are recommended but not required.

    Freestone Skate Park

    • The Freestone Skate Park in Gilbert offers 22,000 square feet of skate space featuring concrete bowls, decks and metal rails in addition to bathroom facilities and drinking fountains. The skate park is adjacent to the 100-acre Freestone park, which features a lake, hiking trails, ball fields and picnic grounds. Freestone Skate Park is open seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Admission is free, and knee and elbow pads are not required.

    Foothills SK8 Court Plaza

    • The Foothills Sk8 Court Plaza is open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. and features a 9-foot concrete two-level bowl, a 5-foot concrete bowl with a center spine, a fun box, a bump course and a street scape with obstacle features. Knee and elbow pads are not required, and admission is free. Bicycles are not allowed in this skate park.

    Thrasher Land Skate Park

    • Thrasher Land Skate Park in Glendale features a variety of skating options such as a spine ramp, a half pipe, a fiberglass full pipe and a fiberglass snake run. The park is open Thursday from 6 p.m. to 10 pm. Friday from 6 p.m. to midnight Saturday from 1 p.m. to midnight and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. Elbow and knee pads are not required, and admission is free.
