Eureka Springs is an outdoor fan’s dream. Located in the northwest corner of Arkansas, Eureka Springs perches on the side of tree-covered Ozark hills. The Victorian-era historic downtown is a perfect setting for challenging walks or quick hikes past wooded springs and historical homes. Drive in any direction from downtown and natural beauty awaits: the Kings River, White River, Table Rock Lake, Lake Leatherwood and Beaver Lake are all within 10 to 20 minutes away.
Lake Leatherwood is a 1,600-acre city park less than two miles from town on Highway 62. The spring-fed lake is bordered by a historic limestone dam, and the park features trails for hikers and mountain bike enthusiasts. Every year, the park hosts outdoor events: the Eureka Springs Triathlon takes place in June, and the Fat Tire Festival happens in July.
Lake Leatherwood has four recently renovated cabins with kitchenettes that can accommodate up to four people each, and a larger cabin called the Family House, which can accommodate up to six people. The standard cabins are open from early spring to late fall, depending on weather conditions, but the Family House is available all year with reservations. Linens and supplies are available upon request; the park also offers rentals of canoes, rowboats, fishing boats and paddle boats.

Less than a mile from Beaver Dam and the headwaters of White River, Spider Creek Resort offers cabins with several options, including smoking and non-smoking units, hot tubs, fireplaces, views of the White River and VCR/DVD players.
