Crystal Springs Resort has six lakefront cabins available for rent. Each has a full kitchen and full linen service, with all towels and sheets provided. Five of the cabins have two double beds in the bedroom, and one has a queen-size bed. The two-bed cabins sleep four, and the one-bed cabin sleeps two. Amenities at the resort include boat rentals, overnight boat slip rentals for guests' personal boats and swimming at the Corps of Engineers recreational area at the resort. A motel, lodge suites and mobile homes are also available for rental. Cabin rentals are discounted slightly in the off-season, which runs from October 1 to April 30.

One of the larger resort areas in Royal, Brady Mountain Resort offers a variety of two- and three-bedroom cabins for rent, including private log cabins and honeymoon cabins. The cabin rental rates vary widely based on the size of the cabin and the season. (Off-season is October 1 to February 28, and peak season is March 1 to September 30.) The cabins all have full kitchens, complete with dishes and utensils, as well as linens, although beach towels are not provided. Reservations with a deposit are required, and a $25 cancellation fee is held out of the refunded deposit if you cancel the rental less than 10 days before the reservation date. A minimum two-night reservation applies on cabin rentals, with a three-night minimum required on holiday weekends. Most of the units at Brady Mountain are pet friendly, with a $20 per night fee required for pets. Amenities at the resort include horseback riding, a waterside restaurant and a marina with boat slips and rentals of houseboats, pontoon/party boats and ski boats.

Each rental cabin at Spillway Resort offers a queen-size bed, a queen-size hide-a-bed, a fireplace, a large bathroom and a kitchen equipped to serve four people. Cabins have central heat and air conditioning as well as ceiling fans. A grill and patio furniture make the large lakeview deck a relaxing place to cook and enjoy a meal. The resort requires a non-refundable deposit if you choose to bring your pet along. Boat tie-ups are available, and covered boat slips are available for a small rental fee. If your group or family is larger than four people, the resort has a double-wide modular home for rent as well as four RV full hook-up pads. Amenities at the resort include a cafe and gift shop as well as a dive shop and boat rentals for fishing boats, party barges and canoes at the marina. Ask about the restaurant when making cabin reservations because it isn't open year-round, so you can plan accordingly for your meals if the restaurant will be closed. Grocery items are available at the marina.
