Hart's Rocky Mountain Ranch is on the southern edge of Pagosa Springs, less than five minutes from Echo Canyon Reservoir, a body of water that offers fishing and boating facilities. This cabin resort features two cabins: Stargazer, which has two bedrooms, and Eagle's Nest, a cabin that has three bedrooms. Both cabins can accommodate up to eight people. Amenities in both of the cabins include a living room with a fireplace, fully furnished kitchens and queen-sized beds. Rental rates for Stargazer start at $215 per night. V A Poma Ranch in north Pagosa Springs provides its guests with opportunities for recreational activities, such as fishing on the Weminuche River, which crosses through the ranch's property, bird watching and hunting. The ranch also features three mapped hiking trails that wind through V A Poma's property and the adjacent San Juan National Forest. Seven rustic cabins are available to rent at the ranch, with the largest being the Bunkhouse, which has two floors and can accommodate 12 people. All the cabins include a living room area, a fully furnished kitchen and front porches. Rental rates start at $79 per night for Bill's Cabin, which can accommodate two people, while the aforementioned Bunkhouse has rates that start at $149 per night.

The Fireside Inn Cabins, less than a mile from the intersection of U.S. Highways 84 and 116, offers travelers with horses and mules complimentary use of the resort's equestrian center, which includes a horse ring and stables. Alfalfa and horse hay is available as well. However, guests are responsible for feeding their horses. Fifteen cabins are present at Fireside Inn, which includes two-bedroom cabins that can accommodate six people, and one-bedroom cabins that can host four. Cabin amenities include a kitchen area, a living room with a fireplace, satellite television and access to Wi-Fi Internet. Pets are allowed for a nightly fee. Rental rates for cabins begin at $105 per night. Fireside Inn also provides an indoor whirlpool tub and guest laundromat.
