RV Camping in Georgia

RV camp sites are located all over Georgia and many are opened year round to visitors. Whether you are looking for a mountain getaway, a romantic beach trip or time to explore a state park, you can find RV camping at all of those spread throughout the Peach State.
  1. Northeast Georgia Mountains

    • Wake up to mountain views while camping in northeast Georgia

      Several RV campsites are found in the north Georgia mountains, which are part of the eastern mountain chain of the Appalachians. Check out such northeast Georgia campsites as Hickorynut Cove in Hiawassee for full-hookup RV sites on 84 private acres, including Swan Lake, Eagle Mountain and forests; Yonah Mountain Campground in Cleveland near Helen; or Toccoa Valley Campgrounds in Blue Ridge for rafting and tubing.

    Coastal

    • Camp not far from Atlantic Ocean waters on the coast of Georgia.

      If you are looking for a warmer climate, head to southeast Georgia’s beaches, which is home to several RV camp sites near Savannah, Brunswick and St. Mary’s. On Tybee Island, past Savannah, there is River’s End Campground & RV Park with full hookups and modern amenities such as WiFi and cable TV near the beach. Further down the coast is Jekyll Island Campground near Driftwood Beach and a fishing pier on 18 wooded acres.

    State Parks

    • Take to some hiking near your RV camp site in Georgia.

      Georgia boasts more than 60 state parks in all of its regions. One of the largest is Hard Labor Creek State Park in Rutledge, with 49 campsites on more than 5,800 acres, made up of 24 miles of trails for hiking and horseback riding, golfing and two lakes for boating, fishing and swimming. Stephen C. Foster State Park in southeast Georgia’s Folkston has more than 60 sites on 80 acres surrounded by several nature trails.

    Lake Sites

    • Enjoy fishing, boating and water sports on some of Georgia's large lakes, near several RV sites.

      Georgia is home to several large lakes spread throughout the state, many featuring RV camp sites. In Georgia’s Lake Country region in central Georgia is North Shore Resort in Greensboro on Lake Oconee. It has full hook ups and a 4,000-square foot clubhouse on five acres. In north Georgia on Lake Lanier is Lake Lanier Islands Resort, which includes a campground near the resort’s golf course, spa and beach and water park.

    KOA Campgrounds

    • Eight KOA campgrounds are found in Georgia, most conveniently located near its major interstates and spread throughout the state. Find sites in northwest Georgia in Calhoun and Cartersville, central Georgia in Forsyth, coastal Georgia in Savannah, southwest Georgia in Bainbridge and south central Georgia in Cordele, Tifton and Valdosta along Interstate 75. Many of the campgrounds offer hookups, lakes and streams, trails and restroom facilities.
