The California Delta is a man-made, triangular waterway near Sacramento, comprised of 491,774 acres of marshy land where the Sacramento and San Joaquin rivers converge. The Delta provides drinking water to about two thirds of California residents, acts as shelter to dozens of wildlife species, irrigates 322,619 acres of farmland, and provides over 290 shoreline recreation areas, 50 different waterfront campgrounds and RV parks, and 300 marinas for boaters, windsurfers and kite boarders.

    • Vieira's Resort is a full-service RV park, marina and resort located on Brannan Island near Isleton, directly across the street from Mait's River Galley and Tavern. There is an on-site marina with covered slip rentals, a bait shop and a repair facility, as well as a convenience store offering beer and wine selections. RV facilities include 24 full hookup sites with water, sewer and 50-amp electricity, and 25 partial hookup sites with water and 30-amp electricity. Guest amenities include restrooms with showers, coin-operated laundry facilities, RV dump station, a public beach with fishing access, horseshoe and basketball courts and picnic areas. Leashed pets are welcome with proof of rabies vaccinations.

    Rio Viento RV Park

    • Rio Viento RV Park is a newer gated RV park specifically designed for big rig RVs with multiple slide outs. Every site is 35 feet wide by 50 feet deep with 22 by 45-foot parking pads. Every site has full hookups with water, sewer and 50-amp electricity. Amenities include restrooms with showers, convenient water access and covered patio tents for group events. On-site windsurfing lessons are available for guests. Management welcomes children as well as pets, with the exception of aggressive breeds, such a Pit Bulls and Rottweilers. Seasonal extended stay discounts are available.

    Snug Harbor

    • Snug Harbor is a family-friendly waterfront RV vacation resort located near Rio Vista. Amenities include a marina with boat launch, covered berth rentals with wind protection, dry storage, an on-site convenience store and seasonal gasoline sales. The RV park features pull through sites that can accommodate any size RV, with most facing Steamboat Slough. Almost all sites have full hookups including 50-amp electricity, and every one has a grass or gravel patio, picnic table and barbecue grills. Guests can rent a shared dock site for an additional fee. The resort has two sets of ADA-compliant restrooms with showers, and wireless Internet access is available in most areas of the park for an additional charge. Management welcomes leashed pets with proof of rabies vaccination and a signed Pet Policy Agreement by the pet owner. Snug Harbor requires reservations with at least one day notice and does not accept drop-in guests.

    Beacon Harbor Marina

    • Beacon Harbor Marina is a 16-acre boating and camping resort on Bethel Island, near the starting point of the largest bass tournaments in America. Beacon Harbor features 32 public campsites on one acre of grassy fields with shade trees, water and 30-amp electricity, picnic tables and barbecues. Guest amenities include restrooms with showers, fish cleaning station, double-wide boat launch, wet berths with 30-amp power, a gas dock and pump out for boaters, houseboat rentals and 24-hour on-site security patrols. Leashed pets are welcome but cannot be left unsupervised.
