RV Parks & Campgrounds in San Diego

San Diego is on the Pacific Coast and is famous for its warm, mild climate and beautiful beaches. According to the San Diego Convention and Visitors Bureau, the city contain 70 miles of pure beach.       Santa Fe Park RV Resort is an upscale, full-service park. Sites have concrete parking pads outfitted with full hook-ups, satellite TV and free wireless Internet access. Pull-through sites are available. The resort also features a mini-theater with a big-screen television, laundry rooms, a fitness center, a heated pool, hot tub and a large community recreation center. The park is also just a few minutes from places such as Seaside Village, Balboa Park and Mission Bay. Pets are allowed, pending approval of the manager. Dogs are subject to breed restrictions. Members of AARP, AAA and the military are entitled to a 10 percent discount off the daily rates, while members of Passport America and Happy Campers get 50 percent off the base daily rate.

    Mission Bay RV Resort

    • Mission Bay has its own boat launch on site.

      Mission Bay RV Resort has 259 RV sites, all with full utility hook-ups. Some sites have 50 amp service, and some are large-sized sites for special vehicles, including deluxe spaces of 60 to 78 feet long. The park has its own boat launch ramp, hot shower facilities, laundry room and 24-hour security patrol. Wireless Internet and cable television is available. Pets are allowed as long as they stay leashed. The park also has seasonal rates specials, such as its "Buy Six Nights, Get One Free" winter promotion.

    Campland On the Bay

    • Campland is close to the Kendall Frost Wildlife Preserve.

      Campland On the Bay has its own beach, marina, market, restaurant and game room. RV sites range from primitive sites with no utilities to those with full hook-ups. Campland is near the Kendall Frost Wildlife Preserve, making it a good destination for bird watchers. It also has a swimming pool, hot tub and shower facilities. The park hosts planned activities for the whole family, including scavenger hunts, castle-building contests, sing-a-longs and arts and crafts. The Campland marina has 124 boat slips and also offers watercraft and bicycle rentals. Pets are allowed depending on breed, but no pets can be left unattended or taken onto the beach.
