A city in Lane County, Florence was named after former state senator A.B. Florence. As of the 2000 Census, it has a population over 7,200. Today, the city attracts tourists for its combination of coastal and wooded beauty. Local attractions include the Three Rivers Casino, the Siuslaw Pioneer Museum, and the annual Rhododendron Festival.     • Heceta Beach RV Park offers tree-lined sites a few hundred feet from the shores of the Pacific. Since the Heceta Beach RV Park provides considerable space around each RV, it draws guests who wish to set up tents or other activities outside of their RV. Over 100 full hookup sites are available. Amenities include private showers, laundry facilities and cable television. The recreation areas have horseshoe pits, picnic tables and volleyball nets. A full-service mini-mart offers firewood, as well as other goods. Pets are welcome. Within walking distance is Harbor Vista Park, which is along the Pacific. Shuttles run regularly to the Three Rivers Casino. The ownership also offers discounts to members of the the Good Sam RV Club.

    Pacific Pines RV Park

    • The Pacific Pines RV Park is a gated campground located in downtown Florence, about a mile-and-a-half as the crow flies from the ocean. The northern end of Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area, a 50-mile long area that contains some of the largest dunes in the world, is a couple of miles southwest of Pacific Pines RV Park. Included in the rate are cable television, wireless Internet service, full-service bathrooms and laundry facilities. Seventy full hookup sites with picnic tables and barbecue setups. It is within walking distance of Lane Community College, Munsel Creek County Park, a drug store and sandwich shop. Pets are allowed.

    Woahink Lake RV Resort

    • The Woahink Lake RV Park is across the street from Lake Woahink and within the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area. Because it is within the park, this facility does not permit tents, bicycle riding and generators. Pets are subject to several restrictions. For those who can live with the restrictions, Woahink Lake RV Park is close to all of the outdoor activities the area has to offer. Park amenities include wireless Internet service, satellite television and laundry room. The campgrounds have lake access to docks, a family game room and a community fire pit. Each of the 50 full-hookup sites has a 30 to 50 amp threshold. This park is about a 10-minute drive to the nearest stores and restaurants.
