Process for Changing Halfway Houses
1. Talk to your case manager about your desire to change halfway houses.
2. If your case manager approves your request, they will start the process of finding a new halfway house that meets your needs.
3. Once a new halfway house has been found, you will be able to tour it and meet with the staff.
4. If you accept the new halfway house, you will need to sign a new contract.
5. You will then be able to move to the new halfway house.
Additional Information
* If you are not happy with your current halfway house, it is important to talk to your case manager about your concerns. They may be able to help you resolve the issues or they may be able to work with you to find a new halfway house.
* You have the right to appeal any decision that is made about your halfway house placement. To do this, you will need to contact the Colorado Department of Corrections.
