- Be a United States citizen.
- Be a resident of Georgia and the county in which you are registering to vote.
- Be at least 17 and a half years old to pre-register and at least 18 years old to vote.
- Not be declared mentally incompetent by a court.
- Not be currently serving a sentence for a felony conviction unless your voting rights have been restored.
In addition, you must register to vote at least 29 days before an election to be eligible to vote in that election. You can register to vote online, by mail, or in person at your county registrar's office.
