Where is Parkes?

Parkes is a town located in the Central West region of New South Wales, Australia. It is approximately 350 kilometers west of Sydney and 190 kilometers north of Canberra. Parkes is the largest town in the Parkes Shire local government area and has a population of around 12,000 people.
