Vacation home rentals have become popular among those who want more space, privacy or amenities than hotels can offer. A vacation home rental agreement outlines the expectations of both the owners and renters, helps make both parties feel more secure and prevents any future disputes.
  1. Rental Agreement Basics

    • A vacation home rental agreement should include the address of the property being rented, the dates and times that the renter will have access to the property, age and maximum occupancy rules, payment policies, checkout procedures, cancellation policies and the rules associated with the property, such as rules regarding pets, smoking and pool or utility use. If the property is located in an area where hurricanes or storms may occur, a clause may be added that allows for cancellations or refunds if there is a mandatory evacuation.
