Cabins in Clifton, Tennessee

Clifton, Tennessee is located on the Tennessee River. The name Clifton comes from the cliffs overlooking the river. The town was established as Clifton in 1840 when work on the turnpike began. Rather than the river, Clifton today relies more on roads and an airport with a 4600-foot runway for transportation. However, the view is still a draw for many visitors.

Clifton also offers the Ross Creek Golf Course designed by Jack Nicklaus, as well as restaurants and a city marina.
