North Georgia Mountain Vacation Cabins

Vacation cabins for families, couples and groups are widely available throughout the North Georgia Mountains. The many mountain towns that are a part of the Appalachian chains offer spectacular views of the mountains and many cabins have views of lakes, rivers and state parks. There are many family attractions in the area, including the Chattahoochee National Forest .

    • The North Georgia Mountains start in the northeast corner of Georgia. The mountains in this area are a part of the 1-billion- year-old Blue Ridge Mountain chain. These mountains are the oldest mountains in the United States.

    Northeast

    • In the northeast region of Georgia, most of the vacation cabins are located around the villages of Clayton and Tallulah Gorge State Park. There are bunkhouse cabins available for up to 11 people with a bonfire pits and cabins for couples with whirlpool baths. Attractions in the area include Chattahoochee National Park where you can partake in whitewater rafting and hiking, and Lakes Rabun and Burton where you can go horseback riding, fishing and boating.

    Northwest

    • The cabins on Lookout Mountain in northwest Georgia feature porches, fireplaces, picnic tables and whirlpool bath tubs. The cabins themselves are fully furnished log cabins with items like bed linen and toiletries readily available. The log cabins can house up to six guests with cabins available for couples. Nearby attractions include Ruby Falls, the Incline Railway and Rock City.
