Set in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in northern Georgia, the Dalton area is best known as the Carpet Capital of America. Next to Fort Mountain State Park in north Georgia are the very private Wilderness View Cabins, with only 11 units on 129 gated acres. Each cabin is located on a minimum of five acres. All have hot tubs, fireplaces and a view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Pets are permitted in some cabins. Close to whitewater rafting, horseback riding, golf and fishing. The Appalachian Trail is accessible from Fort Mountain State Park.

Just twenty minutes outside of Dalton is Fort Mountain State Park, which has 15 cabins available for rent. Two of these cabins are pet-friendly. The two and three bedroom cabins have cable TV, heat, air conditioning, fireplaces, full kitchens, and grill. With over 3700 acres, the park offers a lake with beachfront and swimming, paddle boats and canoe rental. Go horseback riding on 25 miles of trails from the park's stable.
