Red Top Mountain State Park is located just outside of Atlanta in Cartersville, Georgia. The park encompasses more than 1500 acres of forest with 12 miles of winding trails throughout for the hiking adventurist. The park borders Lake Allatoona where visitors may enjoy swimming, boating and other water sports. Red Top Mountain State Park is located along Lake Allatoona in the northern area of Georgia. There are 18 cabins available for rent within the stunning park. Guests here may relax and enjoy the peaceful scenery of the forest and lake, or may stay busy with hiking, swimming, biking and boating. All of the cabins are located along the park's Cottage Road and many of the cabins boast a beautiful lake view. All of the cabins are similar in size and come with four double beds, television, central heat and air conditioning and a fully-equipped kitchen. Outside each cabin there is a deck for lounging and a grill. A number of these cabins offer pet-friendly accommodations. The cabins are available from $105 per night, but require a minimum stay of two to four days depending on the season.

The cabins along Lake Allatoona at the edge of the Red Top Mountain State Park are a place for fishing, boating and swimming aficionados to escape. Water-skiing and Jet-Skiing are also popular pastimes at this resort. The two-bedroom cottages are large enough to accommodate six guests and are fully equipped and kept modern with cable television, kitchen appliances and housekeeping service. Within the resort there is also a general store for food and supplies, a swimming pool, children's play area and a clubhouse.

Along the Allatoona Lake shore there is an 85-acre year-round park that is exclusively for use by the families of military personnel, including active duty, retired and reserve personnel. There are countless activities to enjoy on vacation, such as swimming, boating, fishing, hiking, volleyball and basketball. There are also picnic pavilions and an indoor game room with pool tables. Cabins are available with one, two or three bedrooms and come completely furnished. Guests need only supply their own food. Cabins are available from $56 to $96 per night.
