How to Travel to Upper Marlboro, MD

Established at the turn of the 18th century, Upper Marlboro, Maryland is one of the oldest cities in the United States. The town of Upper Marlboro -- the seat of Prince George County -- is less than a mile wide, but it still has some beautiful and interesting sites -- and it is central to many other activities in the surrounding area.

      Choose a time of year to go. Due to the location, the spring and summer months may be a more pleasurable time to go, as Upper Marlboro typically has cold, snowy winters. Most of the sites to see in Upper Marlboro are outdoors, so nice weather makes for a more comfortable trip.

      Choose the best way to get to Upper Maryland, based on cost of travel and convenience. If coming from Maryland, or a nearby location within an hour by car, the best option may be to drive. If coming from further away, it may be best to fly into the Baltimore airport and rent a car. Baltimore is roughly 30 minutes away.
