Restaurants Near Fairmont Battery Wharf in Boston, Massachusetts

Featuring 150 guest rooms, The Fairmont Battery Wharf hotel sits perched along the shores of Boston Harbor. Located just east of the city's Little Italy region, known simply as the North End, the hotel lies near a host of Italian restaurants. The Fairmont features its own on-site eatery as well.
  1. Sensing Restaurant

    • Chef Guy Martin drew inspiration for his Sensing restaurant in Boston from his restaurant of the same name in Paris, France. Located inside the Fairmont Battery Wharf, Sensing features an upscale interior complete with wood panel pillars, white linen napkins and fresh flowers on every table.

The restaurant enforces a business casual dress code. Entrees, featuring fresh and seasonal New England-based ingredients, include such offerings as New England clam chowder and beef strip loin with Dijon mustard sabayon. The restaurant serves a weekend brunch menu, as well as on-site valet parking.

    Lucia Ristorante & Bar

    • Located four blocks south of the Fairmont Battery Wharf, Lucia Ristorante & Bar features a casual setting outfitted with two stories of dining space and mural-covered walls and ceilings.

Traditional Italian fare includes such dishes as gnocchi al pesto, pollo alla cacciatore and lasagna. The restaurant features private party rooms for groups up to 70 people. The menu also includes a cheese plate served after the second course. With limited street parking, the restaurant's valet service remains the most feasible option.

    Strega Ristorante

    • Strega Ristorante, situated five blocks south of the Fairmont, features a cramped but cozy atmosphere outfitted with dark red curtains, a small but full bar and flat-screen televisions that typically play mobster movies.

The Italian cuisine includes such samplings as fettuccine carbonara, veal marsala and ravioli with crab meat. Located on bustling Hanover Street, diners should utilize the restaurant's valet service. The restaurant's window seats provide views of the busy thoroughfare as well. Strega accepts reservations, a rarity in the North End.

    Euno Ristorante

    • Euno Ristorante sits less than 1/2 mile from the Fairmont in the heart of the North End and just two blocks from the famed Old North Church. Situated on a stone-paved street on the oldest street in Boston, the restaurant boasts a romantic atmosphere complete with a fireplace, exposed brick walls and a wine cellar outfitted with more than 40 selections.

The menu includes such entrees as veal picatta and rosemary-roasted chicken. With limited parking available throughout the area, take the T metro line to Haymarket Station and make the 5- to 10-minute walk to Euno. The restaurant accepts reservations.
