Miss Shirley's Cafe was established in memory of Miss Shirley McDowell, a local Baltimore chef who cooked for more than 30 years using fresh, local ingredients. Many of her recipes are used in the restaurant, which is also open for lunch. The July/August 2010 issue of Food Network Magazine awarded the restaurant "Best Breakfast Dish in Maryland." The house specialties for breakfast include Amy's bagel, steak and eggs, pumpkin cheesecake-stuffed French toast, California dream oatmeal and egg white Napoleon stack. Various pancakes are also offered, from fresh banana to sweet potato soufflé cakes, and there are a number of three-egg omelets.

The Station North Arts Cafe and Gallery is located in the heart of Baltimore's arts and entertainment district. It also doubles as a gallery with shows that change on a regular basis. Burke's Cafe & Restaurant is a Baltimore landmark, having opened in 1934. It is still operated by the same family. Brick walls and wooden tables and chairs create a casual atmosphere. It is open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and for late-night snacks. Breakfast is served every day and the restaurant is know for its large portions.
