The People's Pub has been a Seattle staple since November 2000, when owners Drew Kondik and Jon Norris opened its doors. This German restaurant and pub specializes in South German cuisine and drinks from around the world. The pub is 21 and over after 10 p.m. and serves food up until last call, which is about 2 a.m. There are a number of beers on tap and by the bottle, with selections mainly from Germany, but also from Ireland, Scotland and even Eugene, Oregon. There are also a number of single malt scotches available. Some late-night food includes German pretzels, fish and chips, grilled cheese and tomato soup, burgers and German sausage. Vegetarian options, like the sunflower cutlet burger, are also available.

Spitfire is open until midnight throughout the week and until 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, serving food until last call. The restaurant was founded on the idea that competitive sports are best viewed with others, so it boasts a number of TVs that are tuned into various sporting events (and Project Runway). Local bands play live music throughout the week on a small stage. Small plates include chorizo and cheese-stuffed mushrooms, Spitfire sliders, roasted pork carnitas and tofu tacos. Specialties include vegetable skewers, grilled brawns and chili-spiced rib-eye steak.
