Myrtle Beach Restaurants That Are Open on Thanksgiving

Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, is well known for its white sandy beaches, world-class golf courses and balmy weather. The Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce estimates that the city receives more than 14 million visitors per year. Area merchants are more than happy to cater to the needs of the tourists, and even on major holidays like Thanksgiving, there are plenty of restaurants happy to serve up a festive meal.

  1. Rioz Brazilian Steakhouse

    • For those who do not mind giving up the turkey dinner, Rioz offers a fun way to spend Thanksgiving Day. Rioz is a Brazilian churrascaria (steakhouse) that serves in the traditional rodizio style. An all-you-can-eat salad bar includes over 25 salad items to choose from as well as salmon, shrimp and fresh sushi.

Your place setting includes a round chip that is green on one side and red on the other. Flip the chip to the green side and the parade of meat begins. Waiters in traditional gaucho garb come to your table bearing large skewers with cuts of meat, poultry and fish. They use a large knife to cut slabs of the meat off for your enjoyment. When you simply can’t eat any more, flip the chip to the red side and the food stops arriving. Meat dishes include beef, pork, lamb, chicken, shrimp and sausage. Customer favorites include filet wrapped in bacon, pork loin seasoned with fresh parmesan and sea salt-seasoned sirloin.
