For those who seek a late night spot during the week, Absinthe Lounge is open until 2 a.m. Monday through Sunday. The lounge has a sophisticated and sensual feel with plush lounge furniture, modern art adorning the walls and ambient green lighting to set the mood. The lounge's main attraction is the drink for which it get its name: Absinthe. Almost exclusively available in Europe and mostly illegal in the states, this unique spirit is said to have minor hallucinogenic properties; Absinthe Lounge has a legal version of the drink for its patrons, which may be imbibed neatly or incorporated into one of their specialty cocktails. The lounge offers DJ sets, jazz bands, open mikes as well as additional events such as wine tastings and private parties. The bar offers a list of fine wines, well liquor and draught beer; they also have a humidor stocked with a selection of cigars.

Open on Fridays and Saturdays from 10 p.m. until 4 a.m., Afterlife is one of Dallas' only after hours spots. The atmosphere is similar to a rave: mostly dark and illuminated with glow sticks as well as light and strobe effects; depending on the acts and the themes, additional props and audio-visual effects enhance the experience. The crowd dances to underground electronic music, including trance, drum and bass, psychedelic as well as several variations of house music. There are three areas, each with separate DJs: the inside main room, the warehouse and the outside main stage. Lizard Lounge is a dance club and after hours spot, serving drinks until 2 a.m. and open until 4 a.m., Thursday through Sunday. Located in Dallas' Deep Ellum district, there are several other late night clubs open nearby, including Curtain Club, Lizard's sister bar, for which Lizard's patrons may gain free entry.
