Gather customer service phone numbers for all possible hotels, resorts, and tour operators in Mexico, Canada, or the Caribbean that you are thinking about travelling to for vacation.
Call the customer service number for each hotel and tell them you have not purchased a passport but are considering vacationing at their resort. Ask them about any Passport Reimbursement specials they are likely to have. If they do not, ask them if they'd consider discounting their vacation packages.
Be sure to specify how many members in your family that will be coming and be sure to have them clarify the discount (per indivdiual, per room, etc).
Once approved, go through the process of getting your US passport from the nearest approved passport facility.
Show your brand new passport to the hotel or resort which approved you for the offer and get reimbursed for your passport charges!
