Travelers can access Jean De Luz by train, bus, car or boat. Visitors can start their walk around the town by visiting the Maison de Louis XIV, where King Louis XIV lived when he came to marry Marie-Thérèse of Spain in 1660. Walkers can then view the town's port where fishing boats anchor. Around the other side of the port sits the 13th-century Maison de l'Infante, today a branch of the famed Paris wax museum Musée Grévin. Tourists can see wax models in replica period costumes as these models recreate Louis XIV's royal wedding and other historical events. Nearby on rue Mazarin, tourists can visit the Maison Granga-Baïta, British commander-in-chief Wellington's headquarters during the 1813 Napoleonic War. Walkers can start their trek on the northern edge of Le Gard at Pont-Saint-Esprit, located along the banks of the Rhone river.
