The AirTrain is a monorail that directly connects the airport to the New York City subway system. The AirTrain has large seats with wide aisles that can accommodate any traveler's luggage. Many, but not all, New York City subway stations have elevators and escalators that allow travelers to transport heavy baggage more easily from one area to another. Take the bus. New York City bus stops are clearly marked throughout the city. Look for signs in front of the bus stop. The sign will indicate the number of the bus line as well as the general overall route. Buses have space underneath to allow passengers to store luggage.
