Club Eden promotes itself as the biggest lesbian nightclub in Texas, with the largest lesbian party on a Saturday night in Houston. Club Eden is open daily from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m., and offers nightly drinks specials and no cover charge on most weeknights. The rotating lineup of parties and theme nights includes Butch vs. Femme Sumo Wrestling, Love Party, Don't Ask Don't Tell Military Night, Flirt and Saturday Night Fever.
JR's Bar and Grill, in the Montrose neighborhood, provides not only a grill and bar, but also a dance floor and regular party nights. It offers nightly drink specials and regular events such as Amateur Strip Night on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, karaoke with live hosts on Thursdays and Sundays, and the Pacific Street Block Party on Saturdays. One of the oldest leather bars in Texas, the Ripcord has been serving the gay community in the Montrose neighborhood for over 25 years. The Ripcord is open starting at 1 p.m. daily. It has a leather shop, Black Hawk Leather, and hosts regular leather fetish nights. It also provides a home for several Texas gay clubs, including the National Leather Association of Houston and the Big Men's Club.
South Beach is one of Houston's premier gay destinations for dancing, offering a dance floor with a state-of-the-art sound system, laser light show and liquid ice jets to cool off the dancers. Located in the Montrose neighborhood, South Beach is open Fridays and Saturdays from 9 p.m. to 4 p.m. Live DJs spin pop, Top 40 and dance hits.
