Enjoy a winter wonderland at the Bronx Zoo's annual event. Visitors can participate in horse-drawn carriage rides, caroling, ice-sculpting demonstrations and marshmallow roasting. The Bronx Zoo also features over 4,500 animals ranging from snow leopards and Ethiopian gelada baboons to geckos and hissing cockroaches. This annual event begins in early December and continues to the beginning of January.

At this exhibit in Queens, New York, visitors have the chance to get their pictures taken in a giant snow globe that features a lifelike projection of snow falling. Other aspects of the exhibit include learning how comets are formed and participating in an interactive ice formation. This winter exhibition begins in December and ends in early January.
