    • The Rochester Museum and Science Center has a series of different collections containing more than 1.2 million items. The archaeology collection includes objects from the beginning of the history of North America to more modern times. The ethnology collection includes Native American jewelry, paintings and traditional objects. The natural sciences collection, with 26,000 specimens, contains a large number of fossils, meteorites, minerals and zoology exhibits including preserved specimens of insects, reptiles, birds and mammals. The museum also houses a library with books, audio and video materials, as well as a large collection of photos, manuscripts, prints and maps.

    Susan B. Anthony House

    • The Susan B. Anthony House is a memorial house presenting the struggle of Susan B. Anthony to gain voting right for women and equal social rights for all. Susan B. Anthony became famous after her arrest for trying to vote in the 1872 elections. The memorial house was the home of Susan B. Anthony during her lifetime and it keeps her memory alive, presenting the public with a collection of research materials and artifacts associated with her work and life. A Photo Gallery of the house is available online or you can come in person to see the achievements of this legendary American crusader for women's rights. Special tours are available for children and other groups.

    Seneca Park Zoo

    • The Seneca Park Zoo covers 15 acres and hosts 300 different species. One of the main attractions is the Rocky Coasts exhibit complex, an area for animals from frigid climates, such as polar bears, caribou, sea lions and penguins. A subterranean structure allows visitors to observe the polar bears and California sea lions swimming underwater. The zoo features a new area for the only African elephant in New York State, as well as exhibits for orangutans and lions.
