    H. Lee White Marine Museum

      Named after a native of Oswego who became a commander in the U.S. Navy among other accomplishments, the H. Lee White Marine Museum is located on a pier in Oswego Harbor. The building was originally a grain elevator that was refurbished and donated to the museum, which now features exhibits on maritime history. Visitors can board a U.S. Army LT-5 tugboat and a barge built in 1925. Two floors of exhibits include ship models, sailmakers' tools, navigational equipment and nautical artifacts. The museum is open daily for four hours each afternoon and guided tours are available with advance notice.

      Oswego Speedway welcomes racing fans to its paved track surrounded by steel grandstands with a capacity for 15,000 spectators. The track has two different configurations available for hosting a variety of race cars and is known as the "Indy of the East," according to the track's website. Originally built in 1951, Oswego Speedway maintains its own Hall of Fame for local drivers and features regular races after opening day each May. A "Kids on Track" program allows children and their families to see the race cars up close and walk on the track or collect autographs from drivers on designated nights. Kids and adults also can visit the track for kart racing nights at Oswego Kartway. Oswego Speedway is located one block from Highway 104 at the intersection of Albany and City Line roads.
