Tourism in Laughlin, Nevada

Located in the Colorado River valley, the Nevada city of Laughlin receives three million visitors every year. Tourism in Laughlin consists of a wide range of attractions, annual events and the surrounding desert and mountain scenery (See Reference 1).
  1. Annual Events

    • Laughlin holds many annual events, such as the January Desert Challenge where vehicles and monster trucks compete, the River Run in April, where more than 50,000 biker compete, and the Regatta in August. During the holidays, Laughlin has a fireworks display for the Fourth of July, and a Boat Parade of Lights on the Colorado River in November (See Reference 2).

    Attractions

    • With more than 10 major hotel and casino resorts located around the Colorado River, many visitors come to Laughlin for its gambling. Other famous attractions include the Katherine Mine, Davis Dam and Fort Mohave Indian Reservation (See References 1 & 2).

    Outdoors

    • Visitors to Laughlin can enjoy a round of golf on any one of its ten courses, fishing on the Lake Mohave or Colorado River, and many other water activities, such as swimming and jet skiing. Laughlin also offers some unique scenery, from the surrounding desert to the Black Hills and Grapevine Canyon. Laughlin benefits from year-round warm weather and is only a two hour drive from the Hoover Dam and Las Vegas (See Reference 1 & 2).
