Nevada consists of mostly mountainous and desert landscape. It has an arid climate with plenty of sunshine, light rainfall and snow in winter. Nevada offers the natural beauty of lakes, mountains, canyons, state parks, and, in contrast, the nightlife in Las Vegas .

    • Visitors to Nevada are sure to enjoy sights such as Emral Bay at Lake Tahoe.

      There are several state parks in Nevada. Boating, fishing, camping, hunting, swimming, winter sports and picnicking are among some of the recreational activities you can enjoy at the parks. Some of these state parks offer mining and fossil site tours.

      Nevada offers several natural wonders worth a visit such as, the Lake Tahoe, Red Rock Canyon and Sierra Nevada Mountain Range.

      Carson City, Virginia City and Reno are among Nevada's historic cities. These cities are situated along the western state border, near the Sierra Nevada mountain range. There are 58 historical sites within these cities, recognized by the National Register of Historical Places.

    Las Vegas

    • The Hoover Dam is a great place to bring the family for a breathtaking and educational tour.

      Often called the Sin City, because of its acceptance of gambling and drinking; Vegas is a man-made wonder. The famous strip where most big hotels and casinos are located is a spectacle of lights and entertainment shows from fountains to dance to magic to comedy.
