East Rochester, founded in 1906, is a small village located in northern New York, near Lake Ontario. The town is located 80 miles from Syracuse and 10 miles from Rochester. A variety of attractions and things to do exist within the town limits of East Rochester for those visiting the area.
The Big Oak Driving Range & Golf Shop is open to the public and located right in East Rochester. Open year-round, the driving range allows visitors to practice their golf swings. There are both mat and turf areas for hitting balls, and the area has lights for evening practice as well. A golf shop is also located on the premises, so golfers and visitors can shop for golf clubs, golf tees, apparel and other golfing accessories. In addition, both private golfing lessons and golfing classes are hosted at the facility. Specials events such as equipment demonstration days and clam bakes are hosted at Big Oak throughout the year.

The George Eastman House is located in Rochester and lies less than 7 miles from the heart of East Rochester. Eastman was the founder of the Eastman Kodak Company. Known formally as the George Eastman House International Museum of Photography and Film, part of the museum is the mansion where George Eastman resided from 1905 to 1932. The historic building coupled with the museum section highlights the life and times of Mr. Eastman and illustrates the evolution of photography and film. In addition to the museum, exhibits, presentations and special events, the grounds of the museum are filled with gardens for visitors to walk through and enjoy. The extensive motion picture film collection housed at the museum includes more than 25,000 titles dating back to 1894.

Frozen Ropes of Rochester is a baseball and softball instruction facility located in East Rochester. The approach to teaching the basics and advanced skills associated with both sports is done through an integrated approach. Classes range from exercise play for toddlers to introduce them to both baseball and softball to advanced classes for coaches. Private events and parties can be hosted at the facility for those who want to use the batting cages and pitching practice areas. Leagues and teams are also hosted through Frozen Ropes.

Ontario Beach Park is located along the banks of Lake Ontario. Seventeen miles from East Rochester, the 39-acre park offers a variety of things to do. Guests visiting the park have access to activities including boating, swimming, sandy beaches, fishing and picnicking. A carousel from 1905 is located in the park and operational. Additional visitor amenities include restrooms and a child's play area.
