Things to Do in Charles Town, West Virginia

Situated in eastern West Virginia, Charles Town is less than five miles from the Virginia and Maryland borders. This town was founded by Charles Washington, brother of George Washington, in 1780. Although Charles Town was near famous Civil War battles at Harper's Ferry and Antietam, it was relatively unscathed by the war.
