The rose gardens encompass 4.5 acres of parkland with more than 10,000 rose plants. Photos of the roses in full flower are best accomplished from late May through September during the blooming season. Early spring photography in the gardens feature fruit tree blossoms, daffodils and other flowering bulbs. Several locations in the park provide shots down across downtown Portland. Occasional weddings and concerts in the gardens provide additional photographic opportunities.
