Who made Universal Studios?

Universal Studios was founded by Carl Laemmle in 1912. Laemmle was a German-born immigrant who started out in the film industry as a projectionist. He eventually worked his way up to become the head of his own production company, which he named Universal Pictures. In 1915, Laemmle built the Universal Studios lot in the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles. This lot would become one of the most famous film studios in the world, and it is still in use today.
