What Are Walt Disney World Hopper Passes?

Walt Disney World used to offer Park Hopper passes, allowing guests to move from one park to another on the same day. The Park Hopper passes are now attached to Magic Your Way tickets, rather than being offered as a stand-alone option.
  1. Multiple Parks

    • Walt Disney World consists of four parks--Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom. Each park has its own admission price.

    One a Day

    • Many Disney World ticket passes allow guests to visit only one park par day. Going to a new park in the middle of the day is not allowed on those tickets.

    Park Hopper Tickets

    • Park Hopper tickets originally cost a little more than single-day passes, but they allowed guests to jump from park to park as they pleased.

    Benefits and Drawbacks

    • Disney World parks are each a short drive away from each other, making Park Hopper passes difficult to use. On the other hand, they work quite well for visitors without a lot of time, or those who visit in the off-season when they can see more of a given park more quickly.

    Magic Your Way

    • After Jan. 1, 2005, Disney World no longer issued Park Hopper tickets. Instead, Magic Your Way tickets have the Park Hopper option attached to them for an extra fee.
