Visit every single park that is part of Walt Disney World. Each decorates in its own special way. Epcot Center, Animal Kingdom, the Magic Kingdom and Disney Studio all have something perfect for the Christmas season ready to enchant you.
Plan your trip for weekdays prior to the traditional "Christmas break" of students. Go in November. You'll be ahead of the holiday game. The park is best enjoyed without a crowd. Think smart when planning your trip, even if it means your child has to do make up work when returning to school. It will be worth it to have a trip that is peaceful and and crowd-free.
Dress up in holiday colors. Let your child be a "holiday" princess. Belle is a costume that is offered with a winter twist. Several of the other princesses also have winter themed costumes. If your child wants to dress up, be sure to pack some long johns just in case. The Florida sun can warm even a winter's day, but you can't be too safe with the changing weather. Consider wearing a Mickey Santa hat on your head.
Sing carols with the carolers on the street. It will be like an old-fashioned Americana Christmas. You and your family can have an instant sense of security and nostalgia. The carolers are sweet, considerate and in possession of gorgeous voices. You'll feel like you can sing beautifully, too. It's a magical part of the season.
Learn how others celebrate Christmas around the world. At Epcot's Countries Pavilion, all the countries represented offer something special from their home country's Christmas celebrations. Drink hot cider and learn some amazing things that you'll remember forever. Don't be surprised if you want to bring some Canadian or German holiday traditions to your annual celebratory activities.
Get up early and stay out late. You'll want to experience the park at night. The Christmas lights shine brightly along the theme park streets. It's an enchanting and magical experience in the evening.
Ride as many rides as possible at night. You can see some amazing views of the lights and decorations from the rides all through the theme park.
