The haunted house centers around a legend of a haunted mine filled with ghosts and zombies screaming inside mine shafts. It features an elaborate display of monsters, zombies and ghosts. This is a free, one-yard display available for viewers to drive by the week of Halloween only. It is geared for children and young-at-heart adults.
The Scare House is located in Pittsburgh, about 50 miles from Brady's Bend. The haunted house bills itself as Pittsburgh's ultimate haunted house and features elaborate digital technology, props and prosthetics. The haunted house has been featured the Travel Channel and "Ghost Hunters." The haunted house might be too intense for children under the age of 13. It is open: Fridays and Saturdays in September; Thursday through Sunday in early October; and Tuesday through Sunday during the last week of October.
