Valley Forge is the southeastern Pennsylvania site where George Washington and his Continental Army famously endured a brutal winter during the American Revolution. More than 2,000 soldiers lost their lives due to sickness and disease. Today visitors come to see Valley Forge National Historical Park, where some of the original buildings from that winter have been restored or reconstructed.
