    • Brewery Ommegang is a Belgian style brewery that embraces Belgian influences in both the brewery's architecture and their beers. The five Belgian style ales brewed at Ommegang have received much attention from beer lovers and food aficionados alike. Intimate walking tours and tastings take place daily at the brewery from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. from Memorial Day to Labor Day, and 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. during the winter. On the tours, led by an informative guide, visitors learn about the ingredients and the process of making Ommegang beers. Every tour is followed by a complimentary tasting of all five Ommegang ales. When the tour is over, guests can explore the 136 acre grounds or visit the Belgian shop for fine cheeses, chocolates and other gifts.

    Cooperstown Brewing Company

    • Located 10 minutes from the National Baseball Hal of Fame, the Cooperstown Brewing Company produces six styles of beers. The English style brewery creates a pale ale, a golden ale, a porter, a stout, an India pale ale, and a special ale; making it a hit for beer lovers with a wide range of preferences. For those interested in seeing how the beers are made, tours are given every day except Sunday at 11 a.m., and every day on the hour from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Brewery staff explain the brewing process and let visitors see the facility. After, adults can join an informal tasting of the beers made at Cooperstown Brewing Company.

    Fly Creek Cider Mill and Orchard

    • The Fly Creek Cider Mill and Orchard is a water powered cider mill situated on the banks of Fly Creek. While famous for its impressive selection of specialty foods, such as homemade fudge, cheeses, and jarred goods, Fly Creek also features apple wines and hard ciders. Visitors are encouraged to take a self-guided tour through the cider mill processing area, also known as the Cider Gallery, the Mill Store Marketplace, and the activity areas located outside. The Cider Mill is open 7 days a week from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. beginning April 1, 2011 through December 18, 2011.

    Bear Pond Winery

    • Although not exactly a brewery, Bear Pond Winery produces a variety of red, white and dessert wines. The farm winery is located just 14 miles south of Cooperstown in the Leatherstocking Region of New York State. Visitors can get a tour of the facility and see where and how wines such as Baby Bear Chelois or Goal Seyval Blanc are created. Bear Pond Winery also hosts wine tastings every day, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
