If you are looking for something different and exciting, check out Steel Wheels BMX indoor racing tracks. As of August 2010, Steel Wheels is open for practice on Tuesdays and Fridays from 6 to 10 p.m. for just $6 per person. It is also available for private rental. Steel Wheels hosts a variety of racing events, but you must be a member to participate.Trophies are awarded to the winners of the main events.

For a calmer and more relaxing activity, a scrapbooking class is provided by the Portage city government. All participants are required to bring their own supplies, such as pictures, colored paper, stickers, etc. The course will teach basic skills and help you improve your scrapbook, so that it looks as professional as possible. Snacks are provided, and prizes are awarded for the best scrapbooks.
As of August 2010, Scrapbooking runs on Friday nights throughout the winter from 6 to 11 p.m. and costs $14 per person. You should call ahead for exact dates.

Healthy and relaxing yoga classes are offered by the Portage city government and are meant for adults only. Classes are offered at the beginner or intermediate level, so if you have a lot of experience with yoga, you might find the skills are beneath you. These classes are ideal if you have never tried yoga before or if you have a basic idea of what it is, but are not advanced.
As of August 2010, yoga is offered Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m., and on Saturday mornings from 9:00 to 10:15 a.m. All participants should bring their own mat and water and are advised to wear loose, comfortable clothing. Call for exact dates. The price ranges from $10 for a one-time, drop-in fee to $50 a month for unlimited classes.
