Denali National Park is listed in the national park recommendations by Frommer's Travel. The park offers a natural history tour which departs three times a day from May to September. This overview of the park features a bus tour 18 miles into the wilderness. Animals such as bear and moose are common sights, and the guides know the history and stories of the land. As of spring 2010, the tour is $93 for adults and $46.50 for children and takes about four to five hours.

Glacier Bay National Park offers vacationers a truly beautiful natural setting. Glacier Bay Lodge & Tours features an all-inclusive tour which includes a two-night, double occupancy hotel in a lodge near the park, a day tour of the park and all meals and transfers. Additional options add a whale watching cruise or a continuation of the vacation with a ferry boat ride to Juneau Alaska. As of spring 2010, the basic tour is $467 for adults and $225 for children.

Alaska Railroads has also been recommended by Frommer's Travel for spectacular scenery viewing. This railway provides vacation packages to explore Alaska. Packages include all rail transportation, land tours and hotels. Upgrades to the rail cars and hotels are available. The company features nine different vacation packages ranging from five to 12 days. Cruise connection packages are also offered for before or after the rail tour. As of spring 2010, prices start at $1,799 per person.
